These are Days Never to be Forgotten!

April 18-20, for the Young Women and April 24-28, for the Young Men, were historic and holy days as they enjoyed Youth Camps at Lake Chivero. Church President Russell M. Nelson’s visit to Harare earlier in the month, set the spiritual tone for the camps. Camp activities focused on living gospel centered lives, attending seminary, completing requirements for the Personal Progress Award for Young Women, completing requirements for the Duty to God Award for Young Men and by shunning worldly entertainment. A great spirit of fun and unity created life changing experiences for all who attended.

The National Scout Camp Director for Zimbabwe attended the Young Men’s Camp. He was delighted with church programs which help young men develop into productive citizens. As a result of attending the Young Men’s Camp, the Director is planning a Scout Camp entitled “Latter-day Saints”.

During Young Women’s Camp, the owner of Vanilla Beach gave credit to the Church’s Young Women’s Personal Progress Award. He said, “…such programs should be practiced by all churches to groom and shape the women of tomorrow”.

April was a wonderful, life changing month for the Youth of the Marimba Stake.
