President Banda,1st Counselor in the Harare East Stake Presidency said,“It was a lifetime opportunity for youth and their leaders to grow spiritually and temporally, and to learn to communicate with one another in a safe outdoors environment. The youth camp was a success.”

Sister Jeri from the Stake Young Women Presidency added,“The youth camp was a success. It was for the youth and they loved it! They learned so many things, of which I am sure they will take home with them.”

Tanaka Tazan Gweshe a young man from Mabvuku 1st ward added, “During the camp I learned about asking God and choosing the right. This will help me to choose the right way and to choose good friends. I also learned that we should ask God everything we want.”

Brendon Tinotenda Bako stated, “During camp I learned that faith and repentance are some of the qualifications that are needed to go on a mission.  And, also that charity, love and patience are important qualifications that I should have as found in the Doctrine and Covenants 4. As a priesthood holder I have to do my duty to God, because if I am serving others I am in the service of God. I learned that family history is important  as I we search for my ancestors who died without receiving the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The camp was held to strengthen relationships, learn skills in an outdoor setting, and give opportunity for the youth to reflect and think about ways they can live righteously in the world.
It was attended by more than 295 youth ages 14-18 and leaders.
