A special Missionary Devotional for the Zimbabwe, Harare Mission was held with President Russell M. Nelson, his wife Sister Wendy Nelson and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and his wife Sister Patricia Holland, along with members of the Africa Southeast Area Presidency, April 17, 2018. Missionaries were delighted to hear words of greeting from the Prophet as they shook his hand, along with the other leaders, upon entering the chapel.
Elder Holland in his remarks to the missionaries, said, "...this may be the only time you will have the opportunity to serve the Lord "24/7", don't waste a minute of it." He also counseled them to be obedient and to do as Brigham Young advised, "...learn to be righteous in the dark".
During his remarks President Nelson counseled the missionaries to be obedient and challenged them to use The Book of Mormon to gain clarity. He told them to, "begin with the end in mind... the Lord said, "...my sheep know my voice..." that those "sheep" have an uncanny ability to discern the truth...don't be disappointed...be devastated if those you teach don't accept God's gift to all humankind." President Nelson concluded the meeting bestowing an Apostolic Blessing on the missionaries.
